I have known Guy Wolff for over 25 years. He continues to make beautiful garden pots in his CT workshop. He has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart, and Oprah. Several turns on Country Roads with a small sign in front of his house that says, Guy Wolff Pottery made me stop right away. I met him in front of his house, we had some laughs, and because it was late in the day-I promised him I would return after he wakes up the next day.
He said I wake up at 10:00am so come back at 11:00am, so I did. I couldn't believe it was him. I asked him all about his TV debut and of course the pottery. The morning started off with him turning on the kilns, checking the temperature and humidity of the workshop, and changing into this pottery clothes. He started making a bell pot which requires a Double Throw, two large pieces of clay incredibly yielded together by the talent and careful skill of Guy. The pot was completed in about 12 minutes, and cautiously transported to the drying station. The entire process was so interesting and I was so glad to have the opportunity to spend time with him in his pottery workshop. What a treat.
